XPV is a water-based, environmentally-friendly surface retarder. It produces beautiful exposed aggregate finishes on vertical and horizontal precast concrete surfaces.

XPV applies easily without runoff, and is opaque to ensure even application.

XPV delays the surface set of Portland cement while allowing the concrete below to cure normally, eliminating the need to sandblast or bushhammer to achieve perfect exposed aggregate finishes on vertical surfaces.

Primary Application(s)

To create exposed aggregate finish in vertical and horizontal formed concrete surfaces (precast wall panels, concrete beams or benches, decorative concrete waste receptacles and planters, etc.)

Benefits

Extremely easy to use
Non-toxic and environmentally friendly
Available in various depths of etch
Consistent exposed aggregate finish
Can be applied on almost every type of formwork
